Spin-offs

Branch out and accelerate

Nodes: Orbion Technologies

Technologies: detect & avoid radar, ground-based air radar

SaquraTeq functions as fertile ground for ambitious ventures at the intersection of advanced technology and practical application. Our incubation model provides the technical infrastructure, collaborative networks, and experimental space necessary for nascent projects to develop robust foundations. When a venture achieves technical maturity and market readiness, we facilitate its transition to independent operation—enabling focused execution and accelerated growth trajectories.

This deliberate release mechanism has generated an expanding ecosystem of autonomous entities: working groups pursuing fundamental research, start-ups commercializing novel solutions, and strategic partnerships bridging academic and industrial domains.

Each spin-off remains interconnected through shared technical heritage and ongoing collaboration, creating a distributed innovation network that extends well beyond our initial catalytic role.

Silencio ⥹ Orbion Technologies

Silencio originated as an R&D initiative focused on radar detection and countermeasure technologies. Following successful proof-of-concept validation, the project secured an MIT R&D Stimulus Grant, enabling critical development phases in signal processing and detection algorithms. Subsequent recognition through the Metropolitan Regio Eindhoven R&D Grant supported ground-based system adaptation and regional deployment infrastructure.

With demonstrated technical viability and established market positioning, Silencio completed its migration to Orbion Technologies B.V. in late 2025. The newly constituted entity was accepted into IMEC’s istart accelerator program—currently ranked as the world’s leading university-linked technology accelerator—positioning Orbion for systematic scale-up within Europe’s premier deep-tech ecosystem.
